“White Top x Gulf Sweet” Pitcher Plant is the natural hybrid of leucophylla and rubra ssp. gulfensis. In the spring it produces small, elegant green and red flowers and few leaves. In late summer it is noted for its tremendous crop of mottled pink, slender leaves. Other notable traits include its ability to make multiple flowers on each growth point, and its dense clumping habit. Mature height is approximately 18 inches.
Plant in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss and pertlite in a very large planter and keep it wet. In a bog garden, use a mixture of peat moss and sand. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
