trumpet

The largest of the North American Pitcher plants, the trumpet pitcher can grow 4 feet tall!  They are endemic to the coastal plain of Virginia south to Florida and exhibit wide regional variation.

Carnivorous Plant Connection currently offers four varieties.   Variety flava is the typical coastal Carolina variety that produces elegant green pitchers with heavy venation in the throat.  It grows up to 3 feet tall.  Variety ornata differs in that it is much showier with heavy venation on the top of the lid. Variety maxima is a luminescent all-green. Variety cuprea is heavily veined with copper on the lid of new leaves.

Carnivorous Plant Connection is also testing  many additional varieties.   Check out “RARE STUFF” page for a list  of exciting plants to come and “EVENTS AND NEWS” for updates!
